Welcome to Lingo Cards! As the creator of this project, I wanted to build a simple yet powerful flashcards app that prioritizes user experience above all else. I couldn't find the right app for my personal needs in learning words. Some were missing simplicity, like too many features that bloated the app and shifted focus from the main intention. Others lacked a great user experience, making it cumbersome to add new words with too many clicks and an unhandy interface. Many were also missing essential features for smooth learning, such as auto-pronunciation and providing context. With Lingo Cards, I aimed to combine all these great features – simplicity, user experience, and modern web features – into one seamless learning platform. I didn't bring really new ideas into the app, but rather tried to incorporate the best aspects of existing apps into a single, cohesive experience.
